If we beat UGAg will things be any better for us Tech fans? When in a Tech UGAg argument we can say, "well we finally beat you!" And the Dog will just say " Buh we bea chu 6 tiems in a roe! (shows 5 fingers.) Anyway... I want to beat them so bad! but I dont think things will change much...

Well yeah they can still say we beat you 6 times in a row, but it is a whole lot better than them saying we beat you 7 years in a row.

Just make sure you use the correct finger when you tell them that we one "one".

It will change things a lot. Maybe we won't be able to trash talk them much due to recent history, but they also won't be able to trash talk us because, well, we beat them.

I was about to say the same thing. Georgia folks are for the most part small minded enough that they can't construct anything other than a win streak, which is refuted with the "8 years in a row" at which point they point out their lead in the series record.

If you encounter a Georgia fan who:

a) Cannot handle some ribbing on the years they lose.
b) Does nothing but make up reasons why us beating them doesn't matter.

Then don't bother. It's in their nature, lo in their very souls and cannot be changed. Let the ones that will wallow in their own pity and urine.

I am afraid that the mistakes, disappointments, and miscues of the Gailey era whether rightfully or wrongfully attributed to the man have created a negative sentiment around our football program and that the burden of proof for changing that sentiment has become so high that Gailey will not ever be able to escape it.

Winning two weeks from now would be a good start. Winning again next year would be even better. Win three years in a row and he'd be free of any stigma regarding UGA. Of course, he has to keep his job and beat UGA to do all of that, and popular sentiment says that's not likely to happen.

This talk is pointless....you wont beat UGA. It will be 7 in a row in 07, and 8 in a row in 08. until you get rid of the real problem....Gailey, you can count on more of the same thing you are having this season.
