This is a very pivitol game for the Yellow Jackets. Wake already has 2 conference losses so they are out of the conf picture, but can be a spoiler. GT, tho, needs this win badly to stay in the ACC picture, the national picture with possible rankings, the bigger Bowls' lists & to keep the fans very happy. A loss in this game pretty much wipes all these pictures clean.
Every Tech fan should make every effort to be at this game. ABC did us a huge favor by putting us on their regional game for the 3rd week in a row. If we win, we go to Maryland @ 5-1 for a national Thurs nite TV game vs the Terrapins. A W there & we're 6-1 when hosting Virginia for homecoming, which makes that game very attractive to TV, especially if Vir continues to W. A W @ home & we're 7-1 going to NC St which may be 9-0 at that point. TV would be biting each other to get that game. If we W @ Raleigh, then we're 8-1 hosting FSU.
Man-o-man, this game with the Deacons is huge to our season. We must have every fan supporting as hard as possible. We can do this, even with the lost players. We have talent, we have coaching, we have HEART!
