with Tenuta I will have a very bad feeling about this. I'll support our coach and our team, but I will honestly admit my optimism will be dimmed considerably.

I would probably feel somewhat differently if Rad had interviewed him and come out strongly early. But if we end up with him as HC as a fallback position I just can't get very excited.

What if we also went out and hired a name OC. Would that make you feel better?

I agree. Not because I don't like JT.
But I think it says volumes about how backwards things are run from the administration getting way too involved in athletics.

I have a feeling the administration botched this one.
Not the GTAA, but The Hill

JT will be a bad choice. Write it in stone.

We need a NEW coach, preferably offensive minded.

Hiring JT only amounts to firing Chan and spending all that money just to get an OC.

We already have a new OC...what it amounts to is at least a CHANCE of getting a new OFFENSE. Without the offensive cancer that was our previous coach maybe someone with some balls/offensive skills can step in and make our players move the ball.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but we could very likely get Hatch as OC for 500K.

I say that because as I peruse the records of HC's from lesser colleges, they tend to have a three-four year gap between HC stints. I am assuming they were OCs or DCs at the next step up. Hatch has to be aware that this is a very logical and common step for Div 1AA HCs.

And while i don't see 2.1+ vs 1.5+ being a big deal, I can assure you that .2+ to .5+ will be a big difference.
