...would it be an easy game considering the turmoil in the Atlantic?

Would it be a stretch to say that whoever wins the Coastal might as well be handed the rings, trophy, and Orange Bowl berth along with it?

Didn't we play an Atlantic team on Saturday and give up 500+ yards and almost lose?

Didn't we play an Atlantic team a month ago and scrape out a come back win on the wings of one improbable and another illegal special teams touchdowns?

yeah but they're not going to the game, i think it's safe to say. And we're sucking it up, yes, but I think we could put up with either BC or Wake Forest which are the two most likely candidates for the ACC-Atlantic champions.

It'd be cool to have a rematch of the 2006 ACCCG...

By defeating said Atlantic teams we also greatly reduce the chance of seeing them in the ACCCG.

yes, but you aren't "considering the turmoil in the atlantic".

Clemson and FSU are not looking like they're going to the championship game. It would either be BC, WF, or (:laugher:) Maryland.

Assuming one of those three go, would VT, UM, or GT be able to destroy them?

I'm also worried about our next Atlantic foe. Riley Skinner is among the best in the nation in QB rating. He's gonna give us fits. Plus, they have a great coach & they played Navy twice last year and will play em again this year, two weeks before playing us. Glad we have Wake at home.

After watching what Duke did to NCST, damn I just can't say it because it's too harsh......but actually I will. If Duke wins the Coastal they'll win in Tampa.

If Duke ever beat out VT, GT, Miami, and UNC, then went to the ACCCG and beat FSU/Clemson/BC, I think that would be the biggest slap-in-the-face upset for the ACC. What Duke would think was cheering and positive press would just be people laughing at what a joke we as a conference were...

bad scenario... bad thoughts...

I have a hard time believing that the winner of the Coastal won't win the ACC. No way the winner of that division has less than three conference losses.

I think that's also the 5th sign of the Apocalypse.

We have to continue to improve and bring our best game each week. There is no breather between here and bowl season---including Duke in Durham. It certainly has taken on a different cachet since Duke seems to have found a passing game, and we are in search of a pass defense.

true that. We lost to a terrible Virginia team at home last year... NOT what anyone expected. I think we'll be fine, but VT and UGAg are our two big games to keep our heads in.
