Personally, if it were me:
Win 6-7 games
Put up a fight against UGA
Maybe even beat UGA (this will be kinda tough next year)

Next year is a time to plan for the future, IMO. I would either redshirt Nesbitt and Dwyer, and have them work their asses off in practice, or make them the #1 tandem for games. Booker should split duties with Bennett on passing downs.

I see no reason to NOT play all three quarterbacks. If we sign a top QB, dont waste a RS on Nesbitt, use it for the new QB. Jamaal Evans doesnt need to dissapear from the running game either. I dont see any reason to have a one guy in there 70+% of the time when there are many capable athletes.

Pretend you're a middle aged experienced football coach for a few minutes. What would you do?

If I'm a football coach, my goal is to go 14-0, win the conference and national title. Johnson will have everyone ready to go.

1) Beat the hydrant heisters
2) Win the National Championship
3) Beat the hydrant heisters
4) Win the ACC
5) Beat the hydrant heisters
6) Have a winning season
7) Beat the hydrant heisters
8) win some ball games
9) Beat the hydrant heisters
10) Beat somebody
11) Beat the hydrant heisters
12) May not win any of the first games before the hydrant heisters, but.....
13) Beat the hydrant heisters
14) Annihilate the hydrant heisters
15) Strike forever lasting fear in the hydrant heisters
16) At least, beat the hydrant heisters

rome doesn't seem to understand the necessity of beating your in-state rival.

I am so sick of this deprioritizing of the U[sic]GA game. This is what is wrong with our program. We will never win with that attitude.

I don't think Dwyer will be getting redshirted, he's pretty much our best back. Neither will Nesbitt, we're not exactly deep at QB.

Pretty much a unanimous agreement that romegajacket has accepted mediocrity.

Beat UGA and win the ACC are prob his expectations for himself, at GSU he turned them around from like a 4 win team to winning the conference in the first year and won the conference every year he was at GSU. I expect him to do the same for us.

1. Beat UGA
2. Win the ACC
3. Get the offense (especially the passing game) in the top 25 statistically in the the nation
4. Be a top 25 team week in week out
5. have the players prepared every week
6. recruit like hell
7. give the the fanbase alot of positive things on and off the field
8. make sure tenuta stays
9. develop a qb
10. did i say beat uga?

3. Get the offense (especially the passing game) in the top 25 statistically in the the nation

O will be in the top 25 as far as yardage, but passing yardage will never be in the top 25 IMO.
Rushing will prob always bee in the top 10 :)

I say, I say, it's a joke, son!

Beat UGAg.

That should be his only real goal for next year. Not only will that endear everybody to PJ, with the team that UGAg looks like it is going to have next year, if PJ can accomplish this feat there isn't a doubt in my mind that all of the other pieces will fall in place.

And for anyone saying that beating UGA isn't a top priority... you do realize that we've just lost 7 in a row to them? What happened to THWG?

No one is saying that, we were just jesting at romegajacket who made half of his goals to beat U[sic]GA. Though I'm sure people do exist who would say that...hopefully they don't make up the majority of our fanbase.

Va.Tech will become the big game every year, winner will most likely advance to ACCCG.

Beating UGA will come soon with PJ

Actually I really wasn't referring to him more than alot of what people were saying about firing Chan - how beating UGA isn't really all that important compared to recruiting well and winning the ACC. More Hive talk than anything said in this thread.
