everyone keeps complaining that our D is getting owned by our own offense, an offense they see every day in practice.

MSU has the same complaint only 10X worse. their defense is losing to someone who runs "their" offense.

if anything, it should be a total wash, neither team has an advantage based on what they see in practice.

(hands over soapbox)

MSU runs the option as like 10% of their playbook. We run it like 90%. Their defense sees it a lot less than ours does.

I agree, Spock.

Miss State is in 1st season after going 3-9. We're in our 2nd season after 9-4 season.

its illogical considering that our defense plays against other teams' offenses during practices... it wouldn't make sense to practice against CPJ's spread option offense then go play someone else...

this accounts for a bit, but not all

Our defense isn't very good. That is all there is to it. We have a talent gap on the interior line that won't be addressed until we get Lanier back. The two frosh DT's will get a look as well. Peters needs to play D-end. Tarrant is very physical but gets caught out of position.
But...
We did get 5 turnovers, with one being worth 6. Tarrant's fumble return made up for Diesel's fumble at the goal line. Just score one more than the other guys boys.
