1) QB play
2) Pass rush
3) Pass defense
4) New hires

Don’t mind Coach letting clock run out before half. Not like we were killing it in O. Seen too many times the offense throws a pick….
Only disappointment is blocked punt. Hate to lose this game bc if one play but if we do that will be the one that keeps us up at night. And that Charlie Thomas targeting was not as bad as these douche announcers said.

A little improvement maybe , so does that mean we give him a 10 year extension?

We looked decent for a bit. As always I’m cautiously optimistic. There is a ton of pressure on DJ to be successful so Clemson’s offense isn’t playing loose with him under center. I think the kid takes over at some point to get them going. This is likely the worst Clemson will play offensively.

The expectation should probably be about 4 wins.

I will take for wins, that would be elite improvement under CGC.

Four wins in year four is not nearly good enough. I have refrained for calling for him to be fired, but that would change if we wind up 4-8. I'll spot him Clemson, Ole Miss and ugag. But 6-3 should be doable against the rest of this schedule. I need five wins against some combo of UCF and this weak-ass ACC Coastal.

We've had flashes before, but it requires us to maintain perfect execution and, let's be honest, our team's preparation is terrible and we shoot ourselves in the foot and the game gets blown open in the fourth. It's happened 3 previous years, so no, I don't see improvement.

1) 20/34, 203, 6.0 ypa, 0/1 vs 23/36 164, 4.6 ypa, 1/1 is exactly how much improvement?
2) Lost by 6, lost by 31 & gave up 41 vs 14 is how much better?
3) Yielded 386 yds vs 298 is how much improved on D?

We did make a FG. We did score a TD. There's that.

Go ahead Geoff, explain it to me.

If you can't see it...

We’re really bad. We have one decent offensive player.

Defensively the worst QB in the conference got a confidence booster against us. The freshman would have put 50 on us.

Special teams are a joke.

We literally quit or don’t compete at times during the game, and those are coaching decisions (end of half; final 2 offensive possessions; kick returns)

I think we have 1 very good offensive player maybe 2, plus one middle of pack one possibly a couple more.

Dontae Smith is a solid back, maybe not Mason good, but he's an an above average ACC RB if he ever gets utilized. Not sure what's up with our OC shying away from players and where we're effective. I like McCollum, Jenkins looked the part and Carter are a good trio. Then there's Sims, talent but still has difficulties with footwork.

Sims is saddled with working behind an OL that can't even find the desire to play every play, unbelievable bouts of loafing yet nobody pulls them out & makes their ass ride the pine. Can someone please throw away the KEY!

Jenkins had 2 drops; he’ll need to do more than look the part. I’m not sure Carter or McCollum start for many ACC teams. Both do play really hard though — which I love.

I thought Sims tended to drift back in the pocket as the game went on. That made it harder to create a pocket. It is understandable in that the Clemson DT were getting penetration, but Sims response made a tough situation worse.

I liked the screens. It was the right call against an aggressive Clemson front. But our OL needs to learn that if you don’t find someone to block on a screen, you need to sit.
