09/06/17 DL Kyle Cerge-Henderson Leg injured last game, "?" Saturday vs. Jacksonville St
09/05/17 OL Andrew Marshall Lower Body "?" Saturday vs. Jacksonville St
09/05/17 RB Clinton Lynch Undisclosed "?" Saturday vs. Jacksonville St
09/05/17 LB David Curry Lower Body "?" Saturday vs. Jacksonville St

Any word if any, some or all will be available? My best guess on Lynch is no since he just now resumed running as of yesterday. Would be nice to get a senior OL back after playing 96 snaps last week.

what about our scholarship kicker? We need him back badly.

From what I heard in CPJS presser yesterday he was kicking but a starter hasn't been determined yet for Saturday. Not sure how that is even possible after what we saw

He's recovered enough to play, but out of kicking shape due to the recovery period?

I don't think its the case that our scholarship kicker (King) was going to start Monday, but an injury prevented it. Rather, King has been kicking with the walk-on (Davis), and hasn't separated himself from Davis.

It is speculated that a lingering muscle strain may be contributing to King's failure to separate. But at this point, its not like its his job once the cast comes off. There ain't no cast, and it ain't necessarily his job.

FWIW, in his press conference yesterday, CPJ sounded a little more forgiving towards Davis. He said that Davis has kicked pretty well in practice (implying that the problems we saw on Monday were outliers). He pointed out that kicking with it all on the line in front of 75,000 in a nationally-watched game opening the newest sports Taj Mahal was a tough situation for it to be Davis' first game ever. I got the sense that he was't ready to give up on Davis. King just hasn't proven good enough yet to do that.

IIWII.

Short of king having lost his kicking ability via severe injury and not having recovered, there is no reason he should not be playing in lieu of what we saw. Yea, it's a big environment, but that explains the first duck and maybe even the head high second attempt. It does not explain the kickoffs and barely adequate PATs. What we saw demonstrated was a lack of ability, not simply nerves.

Exactly and King was given a scholarship. Make him earn it

Why isnt anyone talking about Presley Harvin handling kickoff duties...at the very least? Kid's got a leg

I'm assuming King's muscle strain is in his right leg? If his left leg is fine then trot him on out there and let's see what he can do.

Has anyone ever seen him kick off a tee? Attempt a FG?

I know CL practiced yesterday. There was an article somewhere out there about him being "likely" to return this week. Curry had surgery or at least some kind of operation a few weeks before the first game so I wouldn't count on him being back for a while.

CPJ in a presser like some were saying was almost defensive over S. Davis. Said he made all of them in practice and it may have been a factor of the environment more than talent.

Water under the bridge. We had multiple opportunities to win that game.

Part of this was the turf. If you go back and watch the blocked kick at the end of regulation, Davis' plant foot slips about half a foot on his run-up. The kick was a couple feet too low because he was forced to kick behind his center of gravity.
