Apparently Nesbitt rolled his other ankle during the NC game. So now both are hurt. I wonder if he will practice any this week. Jahi will be back for Miami. Tyler Melton maybe. Cord Howard should be able too. He suffered a concussion saturday. Vance Walker was on crutches after the game. Not good news at all. We really need this bye week.

This reminds me of the NC powerhouses of decades ago. It seemed like everytime we played them we were badly beat up/injured after the scoreboard lickings.

THAT is great news indeed. Thanks Hiver! We need to rest and regroup and give Miami EVERYTHING we've got!!

They're still LOTS to play for!

We seem to get UNC late all the time and our depth has always been a problem late in the year. This is the single biggest factor on why we struggle with UGA.

Even with this loss though, we have beat UNC 9 of the past 11 years with the only two losses being in Chapel Hill (2004 and 2008).

We should have everyone back except Gardner, Melton, and Kelly.

If this is true, that's great news. We needed this bye week BADLY. Also, having an extra 2 days to get ready for ugag is a much bigger deal that folks think it is.

If we can heal up, I see no reason why we couldn't win out.

Yep, the game looked similar to most of our games late in the year against UVA, UGA. We have started out strong in virtually every year of the past ten and finished fairly weakly in most of them.

Just saying that depth (probation) is still killing us and it showed at the UNC game. Having said that, if we had just made some plays earlier in the game, then we could have won that game. (This seems like a difference from the past.)

Will Nesbitt be at 100% next week, rather then the "100%" he was on Saturday?

The extra week off should help get Nesbitt back to a absolute 100% rather than a relative 100%.

Personally, I doubt he'll get to 100% until resting up b4 the bowl game.

Although, thought I read that the big part of his problem on saturday was that he rolled his other ankle. That correct? He was actually on two bum ankles???

Yep. Thats correct they are both hurt. I wonder if he will practice any this week.

Per tonight's AJC on line, Brown is definitely out for Miami and Word-Daniels remains questionable. AJ Smith is questionable as well.

Go Jackets!
