INJURIES has taken quite the toll on our offensive line. It is going to be interesting to see how bad some of these injuries are...It is very frustrating/disappointing I am sure to these athletes who have prepared all summer for the ND game & now they'll be or could be watching it from the sideline....I hope that most of the OL injuries especially aren't long term...I haven't seen anything that places a time frame on some of them....I hope the spirit of TEAM WORK will help them over come these unexpected obstacles & rally together to become a gelled unit by 9/2...I want to walk away from that game that night w/ a "W" and not hear a bunch of excuses about what could've been if "X" or "Y" wouldn't have been injured & if our OL would've all been in place......IN summary, injuries unfortunately aren't something that we have control over, however I hope that it serves a sense of urgency amongst the 2nd & 3rd teamers to know at any time their name could be called & they MUST BE READY to step in & STEP UP.......ANY WORD out there on who will be back for the ND game? This goes w/o saying that the other injuries are just as important however (cox & others) it's just that we're down 2 or 3 OL at this point...and this was to be our strength this year....I wonder if Jacob is going to be able to play w/ his shoulder...what a shame it would be to lose him permanetly.

I hear ya and echo your thoughts.

Here is todays AJC article on exactly that.

Hopefully, we'll see Rhodes and McManus back next week.

Doesn't sound real good about Jacob in near future, but don't know what they're talking about "reinforce it."

Anyway, here is article. http://www.ajc.com/gatech/content/sports/gatech/stories/0818technotes.html

Come on coaches, let's make this unit to jell together regardless of situation!

Jackets!!

GT thanks for your added information...Yes I did happen to read that particular article earlier about Jacob's shoulder being "reinforced" - I imagine that must be some type of brace...just seems rather dim considering how much pushing & pulling goes on as a OL....shoulder has to be critical to those type movements....well I am sure the medical staff is working hard to ensure him the best of all possible options & espeically after what he's been through to even get to where he is...I also remember reading something about his injury when he was talking about movement being limited & tearing through initial scare tissue...has to be painful & wish him a speedy & full recovery.... Man we also need Cox back in at FB considering everyone else at that position has limited game time experience although the back up has been impressive according to what I have read....Anyway I can only hope that the OL will be 85% healthy coming into the game vs. ND......GO JACKETS.

It would be awesome to see Reggie and Calvin light'em up for 150+ yds....and for us to establish a dual threat at the RB position w/ Choice etc.....I can't wait!

I'm curious about the shoulder reinforced thing, Im trying to imagine a brace of some sort but can't really think of anything that would give much support and good motion, but I'm no doctor. Anyone have experience with that sort of thing?
