Interesting Notre Dame Tech Love

öööö Notre Dame and especially öööö that little goblin, Rudy.
I guess I don’t understand why tech fans hate them so much. I went up there with the expectation of hating them in 2015 but they were actually very nice. If you hate their smug then I understand at least that.

This. They really showed their ass that day. Players starting fights with our players and their classless band started playing VERY LOUDLY when they were presenting the mvp trophy to Joe Ham and Dez White. Totally classless. I have heard that they are very hospitable host but their road fans are hot GARBAGE.

I'm a devout Catholic and the only thing I hate more than Notre Dame are those inbred fucks in Athens.

Two classy programs. It will be a miracle if either ever win a NC in the current landscape of “college” football——which for the factories is 1% college and 99% football.
There is nothing classy about Notre Dame. Classy programs do not circle the wagons to protect serial gang rapist groups of players. Classy programs do not send videographers onto flimsy towers in 40 mph wind to die.

They have never been classy. They have only had good press relations who bury their dirt. Knute Rockne was a con artist. Rudy, even beyond being offsides, was a common criminal scammer.

Notre Dame is pure trash.

is not my fault that they protected serial gang rapists, or sent a videographer up in unsafe conditions. Are you questioning the accuracy, or should we just pretend that Notre Dame lives up to their press hagiography?

Spot on. This was intentional and just proves they are garbage.

Am I questioning the accuracy of the reports about the kid who went up in the scissor lift and died when if flipped over? No. I'm questioning the need to use that horrible tragedy to buttress your argument that we should all hate Notre Dame.

But it goes to the root of the program. Coach sent him up in a near-hurricane. Coach wanted the film. Coaches are supposed to be the adults in the room. They are the institution speaking. They failed. It should have been an easy call, but they made the wrong one, and their dereliction had the expected consequence. People should have been fired. They were not. Instead the institution, including the house law enforcement, circled the wagons to protect. Just like the gang rapes. Exactly like the gang rapes.

It was not an accident. It was irresponsibility followed by unethical behavior.

So yes I think it is fair game.
