Is Chans\' contract that great

that he would continue to take these butt f&*^s from clough/braine?

Why?

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

That IS part of the contract. Imagine his predecessor's response to this.

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

It must not specify that he hire top-grade assistant coaches, that's for sure. Tenuta is the only GOOD thing going for us. Pitiful state of affairs! Shame, shame on GTAA, Clough, and Braine for not demanding a good OC, special teams, etc.

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

Contrary to your uninformed point of view, the coaches at GT like working with Braine/Clough. Ask Paul Hewitt about Dr. Clough. In fact, if you want an opinion about Dr. Clough ask real students, faculty, or knowledgeable alumni. He's a pleasure to work for and has done more than any president to make Tech a bearable place to be (still work to be done though). We are lucky to have an alumnus like Dr. Clough as president. We are further lucky that the President of the United States was unable to lure him into another position.

As far as DB goes, arguing about him is probably a moot point at this juncture. Everyone has an opinion that isn't changing anytime soon.

Believe it or not, Chan may like working for Dr. Clough. If you know him personally, why don't you ask him?

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

If you know so damn much give me a detailed analysis of each assistant coach on the staff, his duties and results. Include recruiting results.

If you can't, then shut up. You continue to make abrasive comments about things that one can only assume you know nothing. Our STs need to improve, I agree with that. Our offense needs to score more points. But you then attack all our assistant coaches with no more idea of what they do than my daughter. You're pathetic.

BTW, from your post then I should assume that Tenuta is our only good coach? Funny then that he would accept mediocre defensive assistants. Or is he so good that he can overcome the trash Chan has surely hired for him to work with?

Why do you even waste time composing posts? Why not just have an autoreply to post "I hate Chan" on every thread?

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

good idea NC ..everytime someone has one bad word to say about him you have to chime in with the same ole thing so just get your auto reply set and save your self some trouble but please dont show your class or lack of it with the small man syndrome you are showing lately by tell everyone to kiss your arse or telling them to shut up
We all have our opinion and we are entitled to it

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

Perhaps you might be proving my point. He may like working for a guy who keeps sticking it in his back, or so it would appear to many.

flunkgate
probation
AD remarks on the air
this screwball bowl.

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

The AA, AD, and school prez should never demand that a head coach hire an OC or anyone else. Why would a good head coach want a job where the admin tells him who to hire and fire? If Clough or Braine think that an OC is the answer, then they should get a new head coach, not interfere with the one they have.

I would agree that this is the situation you generally want.
However, in CG's case, I hope that he will realize on his own that staff additions and changes must occur.
If he goes along with the demands from above only to keep his job, it most likely won't work.
If no major changes to the staff are made, it will be a very big mistake, imo.

In a similar yet very different(?) situation, Homer Rice directly re hired GOL and planted him on the Bill Lewis staff. Half a season later, GOL was the HC.

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

I agree with you that Chan should hire an OC, and maybe more, but the point is that CHAN SHOULD HIRE THEM on his own initiative, or, as you say, it probably won't work. I would not be surprised if Homer's hiring of GOL was the beginning of the end for Lewis. If Braine or anyone else demands that Chan hire an OC as a condition of his employment, he's gone. Wouldn't you be?

Re: Is Chans\' contract that great

I have no problem with any comments that show a little thought. Why not comment on what started this? He said we have no good assistant coaches. Do you agree with that? If you want to pick out a coach and give some reasons why he should be dismissed we can discuss it. Maybe I'll agree. But all bizzy does is make blanket statements that make no sense. The only common thread is anti-Chan. Is that your MO too?

I thought Tech people were supposed to be intelligent and able to draw distinctions between rational thought and ugag like spouting off. Maybe not?

Yes, I would leave if I didn't agree with it.
