Wes seems to be more energetic, almost giddy doing the broadcasts this year. I have been critical of Wes in the past, so I thought it only fair to say I have enjoyed listening to him this year.

I definitely agree. I remember him being this energetic back in the late 90s, but not at all recently. Maybe he was subconsciously caught up in the dark cloud that had been hanging over the program for the last 6 years. I know that feeling personally.

I've heard him criticized for referring to us as "Tech" on-air, but when he came back in the Grill (Which had horrific service last night) after the show, I distinctly heard him refer to Tech as "us" and "we"

Every time I've been, I've had awful service. I'm moving back to Atlanta TOMORROW and can't wait to check out the show there.
The last two times we've been, it was bad. The first time it was so terrible the entire meal was comped, but last night even the manager was rude and short with us. From the moment we asked for dessert and our check, it took 45 minutes to get them, and all of the tables around us who asked long after us had their checks and were gone when we got ours.

Crazy talk. Wes is a professional - the difference in attitude is with the listener, not the announcer.

I, for one, am glad we have a professional and not a complete Larry Munson homer broadcasting our games. "We" and "us" sound really bad coming from a broadcaster with Wes's skills.

I have always thought of Wes as one of the best in the business --glad that we have him. I enjoyed both his work alongside Jeff Van Note and, of course, Kim King. As far as his energy level --it's always seemed to be there, at least for me it has. Perhaps Wes did have more energy paired with King than with Noter, but I couldn't tell the difference personally.

Last year was tough for Wes. Dont forget he calls the Falcons also, which were a complete mess last year. Tech underachieved again in '07 so there was not a lot for him to be excited about.

I agree that he is one of the best around and I hope he stays here a long time. Fun guy to be around also.

I like the "homecooking" and expect the announcer to be a fan, so if Wes is more "onboard" that is a BIG plus IMO

I was in town on business last weekend and Fox Sports Grill was awful. We were lucky to get seated by a roving manager. There were plenty of empty tables around the outside, during NFL games. About an hour after being seated, the idiots at the front finally called our names off the waiting list. Imbeciles.
