Just a thought… With all the top coaching spots open and not a long list of candidates, is this the time to make a change?

Dan Rad. is a CONFIDENT man. I think this is a ballsy move because he truly thinks we can compete with the big boys of college football, and this includes fighting with them for the best head coach available.

I have a good feeling we will love the new hire.

sure if you're good at picking a replacement.

I think this notion is one of the silliest I've read the last few weeks. Was GT ever competing with Nebraska or Michigan for a coach?

There are 500 CEOs of Fortune 500 companies today (actually probably about 490 or so) and probably 5000 folks who could lead just as well if not better than those CEOS. some are 25, some are 65.

There are a lot of people..and coaches in this country so don't worry about a small pool. Just be sure Drad is right about the one he chooses.

One - There will always be openings and people to fill the openings. Two - The pool could include 105 OC's and 105 DC's from other teams, former head coaches, & NFL coaches. Three - There are more coaches wanting to advance than they are the ones wanting to stay where they are. Nature of the beast. Four - We just have to find the right match, next Bobby Ross, and keep going forward.

Why would you say there's not a long list of candidates? As fans you and I have no idea who good coaches are. There are tons of guys out there looking for jobs who know football. The issue isn't enough candidates, it's finding a good fit between a school and a new coach.
