Dawgvent has an ESPN link stating that UF will hold a news conference @ 5:00 pm eastern to discuss the SS news. Their source (ESPN) is from the website of the Gainesville Sun.

Yes it is true. Spurrier gave a statement and has resigned as head coach of Florida. I saw it flash across the bottokm of the screen on ESPN and I went to www.ajc.com. WHoa wait just flashed across CNN too. Also Dennis Green is fired as Minnesota Vikings head coach.
