As per the AJC's Chad Bishop;

Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Tyler Santucci is expected to be the new linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens, I have confirmed. First NFL opportunity for Santucci who led the transformation of Tech’s defense in 2024, his one season with the Yellow Jackets.

Yeah I saw it as well. Speaks volumes about what is happening operationally speaking, but who the hell is going to replace him? Marco Coleman again? Lol

Maybe the guy from Bama was hired with that in mind, and he will now be DC

I think the liklihood of that is pretty high. And it if is, I think that means we won't be seeing that damn prevent defense anymore. That was my only beef with Santucci.

Kobie Jones? That would be quite a jump. He was just a Graduate Assistant as recently as 2023.

I seriously doubt it. This is no time for OJT. We need somebody that knows what's up on day one.

Not that there is ever a good time but as that goes, we have time to find a new guy well before spring practice. I'm also guessing this wasn't news to Key and Batt.
My thoughts as well. I’m sure Brent knew this was coming however long ago Tucci told him he’s interviewing. I trust Brent with the replacement, I just hate that we don’t get year 2 of his progress and have to start all over again.

Confirmed by Footballscoop. CFB is a flat out a 24/7, 365 day dumpster fire. The fact that coaches would rather be coordinators (ex. Chip Kelly UCLA HC to tOSU OC, former BC HC now GB DC Jeff Harley, etc) or position coaches in the NFL vs coaching in CFB due to what the POS corrupt greedy NCAA has caused. Had they done the right thing a decade ago, none of this BS would be happening. Meaning revenue sharing, NIL.
