Why would any Tech fan post crap like: Is Tech going the way of Vanderbilt? Yeah Right!!!

We just finish a Multi Million dollar renovation of Bobby Dodd Stadium and we hire an NFL Coach and pay him close to 1 Million a YEAR, AND OUR President and AD go down to Miami and Push real hard for Expansion..To put us in the TOP Football Conference in ALL of College Football..WOW...How can anybody post that Bull and put it as a Topic headline for ALL to see..

TO ANY FUTURE RECRUITS out there: The answer to the other posters question about GT Following Vanderbilt is: ABSOLUTELY NOT..GT is the place for YOU..You want an unbelievable Education and Degree, play for a School that has an Historic Tradition and Play for an NFL coach...To top it off live in one of the most Beautiful Cities in The world that offers numerous opportunities once you graduate..Then COME TO GT.....

To ALL POTENTIAL RECRUITS OUT THERE: Let me put it this way...There are only 2 other Major Football Programs out there that can Boast having An Ex-NFL HEAD COACH...Southern Cal and Univ. Of VA. (You can also count South Carolina, but how long before Lou Retires ?)

So if you want to come to an Incredible Institute..AND play for a Head Coach in Chan Gailey who has over 15 years NFL Coaching experience and Was the Dalas Cowboys Head Coach (helping to Develop Emmitt Smith and so many other stars he has Coached such as Rocket Ismail)Then CONSIDER GEORGIA TECH...The Program of the FUTURE.....

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I am sorry but I know Emmitt personally, and I hate to tell you but I wouldnt ask Emmitt off the record about your comments here. But I agree, I would hope we have some running backs of Emmitt's caliber look at us because WE NEED TONS OF THEM, LIKE EMMITT, THAT DONT FUMBLE!

Emmitt Smith thinks the WORLD of Coach Gailey..Look at his Quotes such as "I will be pulling for Chan at GT" AND "Chan taught me some things in the Running Game" And as far as Knowing Offense.."Chan knows how to move the chains"
Emmitt like so many other NFL people think the world of Chan Gailey as a coach..

Do you think Goldmember..that these are some of the same people that cant let go of the sec???..As someone stated "The sec WAS king of football some 10 years or so back"

They refuse to see that the New ACC.. will be better from top to bottom than the sec...

I wish we did, we may have a better athletics program if we did. Just go get the facts off the Stanford website and see how BROAD their curriculum is. Sure would help us to have 1/2 the majors Stanford has. Even Vandy has way more majors than GT. I still say if we had a broader curriculum we would have an incredible story to get better athletes. But it "aint" gonna happen.

Lemon the rb comes to mind...On the Basketball side barely losing out to Tim Morris out of Whitefield academy this year..I knew him personally..GT came in a very close 2nd....

I always thought we were more like Furman or The Citadel.

You don't like it? Eat me.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I agree I don't know where it comes from. We are more like Clemson or Auburn and we aren't all that much like these schools but at least they are public state universities.
