Bottomline on Offense is to SCORE. Bottomline on defense is to not let them score. Each needs help from the other to be successful. The only stat at the end of the season that matters is Scoring Defense if you have a decent offense. Notre Dame was a True exception last year, because their offense Stunk. But I would think that we need to score a minimum of 21+ points a game at GT to be successful because we are never going to have a D that throughout the year is going to be an Oklahoma type D-We will never have the true depth on the line. But if we dont score, then the OC is to blame. Players should never be blamed ever. It's the coaches job to get it done no matter what the circumstances are. No excuses whatsoever.

I guess you wouldn't mind explaining what the heck you said. It makes about as much sense as my 1 year old grandsons jiberish or it giberish.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">That makes about as much sense as drinking oil on a frozen pond(huh?). OK, this is what I got from your post. The scoring is 100% up to the OC. No other coach, nor the players have anything to do with the scoring. Needless to say, your opinion is thoughtless and ignorant. I'm not even sure I want to point out very obvious facts, because its like arguing with a child who keeps saying "why" over and over again.

O well, enjoy the fishing while we're all biting.

I was just saying, it doesnt matter to me who the hell the OC is, as long as we are scoring points because that is meaning of OFFENSE in football. And the only stat that matters a hiill of beans on Defense to those who keep bringing up meaningless stats is the Scoring Defense stat. That's all. I am not complaining or bringing up something out of the blue, just meant to respond on the other thread. Now how does that sound ignorant and thoughtless? I would love your opinion on this?
