This Notre Dame team will come out in our season opener with PLENTY to prove. After getting waxed tonight by Ohio State, they will have a fire and passion about proving that they are among the nation's elite.

We have plenty of adversity already to deal with. Add this to the challenges ahead in '06.

Of course, ONE game doesn't mean all that much. We've lost many a season opener before.
 
I like having ND formidable once again. Fun to hate them. By the way I believe we will match up with them nicely and Chan has proven that he can beat favored opponents.

for curiousity why do you think we match up with them nicely?We will lose 4 of 5 our top DBs and they will probably come in with the leading QB in nation and at least one favorite rec and their top R-back.doesn't compute.

First question is whether Quin comes back. The second is whether their big receiver (can't even begin to spell his name) will sign a baseball deal.
 
At halftime did you hear the conversation with Eddie George. He said that ND looked very slow compared to the speed of Ohio State. He said the ND DB's were in way over their heads against the quick and tall recievers of OSU.

He did say that Weis was great at making adjustments at halftime. That's what made him so good as the Pats OC.

The speed thing at receiver bodes well for GT next year.

GT may have an advantage at WR but cg game planning has showed the he is able to make CJ all but vanish in a game (see the UGA and Utah game).
 
I thought the same, until I saw their #9 almost run down the WR on a long TD. #9 for ND was much faster than the OSU receiver.

Personally I thought the ND was just what I expected: Notre Dame had an easy schedule this year and didn't have to play many big teams with big athletes.
 
The question may be ..Will Chan make an appearance before the ND game ?
He has 8 months to prepare for ND and it seems our 1st game we play decent so a W is not impossible
 
It just did not get tougher or easier to beat ND.

It has no bearing on the opening game in 06.
