Sure would be nice to beat WVU since Ugag could not do it last year. The question will be whether the defense will be ready after two well played games went for naught which could result in a nasty blowout. Tenauta have them ready at least for pride.

The question is will Chan Gailey have the guts to try something new on offense and not freakin rely on Tenutas boys who are pissed off at the O anyways? I dont care if WVA scores 60 points, all Tenuta deserves under Gailey is a big fat raise and massage for garrying Gailey's back for the 5th year in a row.

Damn straight, the O had better be ready to score 61 if WV scores 60. The D has puled their weight this season. The O hasn't done jack yet.

Ya know, our defense has some outstanding players on it this year, but it has many more holes than its counterpart.
Because Tenuta's unit has kept us in, and won so many games for us, no one has the nerve to complain for long about poor tackling at times and a very weak secondary that has a hard time covering most receivers.
Tenuta understands the talent he has, and nearly every week puts them in the best position to force mistakes by his opponent. He does it with team speed and confusing blitzes. That is superb coaching.

He would have the same mentality if he also ran the offense.
 
Geezus! please don't say it's WV. My Sis-in-law is serious Mountaineers. AS CAN BE!!!

Oh well. I guess we'll just have to kick their pants off after the family Christmas get together.
 
We are going to get our asses beat like a red headed step child. You think UGA and Wake were bad. Wait until the Mountaineers running attack and great coaching do to us.
 
Why are you guys being so down about this?

I'd put our defense against anyone in the nation, period.

WV hasn't shown much on defense, so as long as we get into SOME kind of offensive rhythm, we should have a shot. I agree that we haven't done that in a while, but this isn't a done deal.

Everyone seems so worried about their offense. But, despite the losses, our defense has dominated. Let's not write them off just yet...
 
Yes, our defense is great, but our offense has to take some time off the clock, otherwise our defense will be on the filed the whole game (Clemson) and get wore out, they can only hold off an offense like WV's for so long.

also, I'm worried about the defefense's motivation now, from the quotes in the paper it sounds like the are sick of everything.
 
Can Tech hold WV under 40 points? (and score over 6?)
WV is 4th in the Nation in offense and 3rd in scoring at 39 points.

And can Wake hold Louiville under 50? (and score over 9?)
Louiville is 2nd in the nation in Offense and tied with WV (3rd) in points.

And to top it off .... The Big East is ranked 3rd in the Nation and the ACC is an embarrassing 6th.
 
Actually, we led the time of possession against Clemson.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing a top ten team, no matter our last two games. We've bitched about our bowl games the past six years and now we've got a New Year's Day bowl, on the east coase, against a highly ranked opponent.

Give those inbreds hell Tech.
 
I don't buy any of these defeatests argument at all. We CAN BEAT WVU!!!
Some things have to happen of course:
1. On the first series if Reggie is on leave him in, if he is not put in TB!!
2. The Defense needs to bring its A++++ game

It is not a forgone conclusion that we will lose this game!!
If we can come out with a VT-like performance we WILL WIN!

DONT GIVE UP ON THIS TEAM YET!!!
