Heck, that's nuthin'. There's a 70 year old man in Virginia Beach that can do 2k.

I think this is a vulgar joke of some kind, but I don't get it.

Leg Presses and squats aren't even in the same family.
You may have a dry sense of humor, and just be joking with your remark, I don't know.

2000# on anything is a lot, but squatting 850 means pulling stumps out of the ground.

850lb squat= Freak
My squat my senior year in HS was 535lbs. For some weird reason, I loved the squat lift and I really worked at it. But Holy Moly, 850lbs and an athlete, not just a professional powerlifter? That's amazing.
That's closing in on the squat press world record of 1075lbs

For those of you that remember some older Tech players, Dave Pasanella had to have been the strongest player to ever play at Tech. I can remember our off-season workouts and the guy could bench and squat like no one I have ever seen. I am sure he was squating well over 1000 lbs. Dave was killed in a car accident several years ago while working as Tech's strength coach.

At 850 lbs,are you suggesting that he could lift my wife and sister-in-law at the same time?

What's amazing is that Monroe can squat that much weight and still have great athletic ability. Believe it or not, many of the guys that can squat 1000 lbs get winded going up the stairs. Instead, he'll bring 850 lbs of force to whatever hapless OLs attempt to guard him and then he'll run down the QB and make him a permenent addition to the turf.

Heck, what am I saying? Monroe will never actually sack a QB. He'll just stare them down until they automatically take a knee.

Absolutely not! In order to safely lift that weight, the load would have to be balanced.

I am sure I have never seen your wife, but did see your sister-in-law on the Dr. Phil Show. It was really neat how they were able remove the roof of her place so she could make the show. ;)

Pocket--I just cant figure it because they still claim to wear size 8 womens pants.Oops ,I forgot to mention that they are made by Ringling Bros. out of old used tent material.;)

Dave Pasenella is without question the strongest man ever to suit up for the White and Gold. He set the current GT Football record for squats which has stood for 23 years: 835 pounds.

Monroe is doing more than that in high school.

Hide the women and children while there's still time.

Dave later had a squat of like 1030-1040, iirc. He had (maybe still has?) the world record in the squat AND total lifts at the 125kg (275lb) class.

Some older lady basicaly t-boned his car into one of those big metal lightpoles in front of the Starvin' Marvin at the corner of 10th and Northside.

So(if he commits) will he be the strongest guy on the team, I hear that Newberry is the strongest right now but now I don't know
