Jaybo's got a great upbringing," Bohannon said. "He's a coach's son. He's much more mature than the average freshman. He has a lot of intangibles that other kids might not have. [The offense] wasn't a totally new deal to him, and I think that helped him a bunch.

Quit worrying folks. Gotta remember that Jaybo's already had a couple years practice with the TO.

I'm not really worrying about Jaybo. I'm just slightly worried about Nesbitt getting fewer snaps and having less experience in the offense before we hit the harder part of our schedule.

I am worried about Jaybo's size. He has proven he can run the O and he can run, but he hasn't taken a big time hit in the open field yet either. He is a tough kid, but our depth is still not there at QB for a guy his size to take that many snaps running the ball.

He took several big hits against MSU when he held on to the ball before pitching/throwing at just the right time. He took a big hit on Dwyers long run by waiting until the last second to pitch if I recall correctly...

I agree, but the numbers are what adds up. IMO taking a hit off a pitch is different than going out of bounds hit, hit by LB's in open field, low cuts below the waist, etc. Don't get me wrong I think he will do fine, but not the complete athelete yet.

I'm more worried about Jaybo twisting an ankle kicking Duke's ass!

I do worry that we're down to 1 QB right now.

That's not good.

I'm not worried about the performance of the 1 QB that we do have, though.

Calvin Booker!?!? We'd have to tweak the offense, but our opponent would not be ready for him throwing the ball all over the field.

Plus its Duke and Gardner Webb. Booker can beat both those teams if he just takes care of the ball. I've seen SEC teams with QBs worse than Booker, including the one he transferred from.

I would much rather see Dykes run the option than Booker do anything. Calvin was not effective late against MSU.
