Jeff at AJC.com just posted a followup article. Once again he is more concerned with humor than fact. Even a few UGA guys called him out for his negative article today. One day we can't hire a coach, the next day we hire a coach and he still takes a shot at Tech. I don't get the AJC, but those who do should consider getting rid of the rag.
 
Here is what I posted in the reply section under my Hive screen name. Not that it'll do any good but it made me feel a little better.

Bisher and Barnhart think Johnson is a fantastic hire. But you, somehow, have doubts. None of which you articulated in your article.

Schultz is just mad because Barnhart didn't keep him in the loop.. :laugher:

And his hair makes him look like Dilbert's pointy-haired boss....
 
Im actually glad he wrote something so pessimistic and without reason. Reading all the bashings that he is publicly receiving makes me happy, and I hope eventually they will amount to something negative for his awful career.
 
The sad thing is that Jeff S. can be pretty funny, the problem is that he would rather be funny than actually report accurately.

I've seen one, maybe two articles from Jeff since I started reading the AJC in 2001 that made me chuckle. Most mornings I read the first paragraph of his article and decide to skip the rest of it. I think I've saved a lot of brain cells that way.

His Tuesday Count down is pretty good most of the time. But this is more of a BLOG than an article/column and it's purpose is to be funny.

If you fun the ball it might be hard to recruit receivers to block? Virginia plays 3 tight ends and sends them to the pros. So does Miami. So do the mutts.

When you get behind, will it be like Oklahoma used to be throwing 3 hail mars and out to catch up?

Look drad promised a rock star coach. This isn't it. Read clough in the paper today and this is clough's hire. A bunch of old wihite guys fire and old white guy with a boring offense and bring in another old white guy with a boring offense.

I can hear Gerogia a couple years ago, yeah I really like that Richt guy but he just has no head coaching experience.

The mutts stomped the Florida offesne, a passing soread offense as opposed to running 85%, and they have a Heisman QB.

I think you are dfelusional. The purpose was to bring in NEW fans. You jerks have been buying tickets the last six years.

13 years ago I received a post care in the mail about come to Tech football. My wife saw the postcard so we signeed up. For 6 nyears we enjoyed Lil Joe, Goodsey, Ralph and GOL.

When they hired CG we dropped our tickets.

Now what have I seen to bring me back? What has the mid-town resident seen to buy a ticket? Nothing.

What is hung-over is you because you were fighting it out with DUKE and SMU for this guy. If he is so great what happened to Michigan or Arkansas? Everybody turned them down and they didn't want him.

Tech football has been mediocre becuase that is what is accepted ad this changes nothing. Navy? Ga Southern? Get serious.

You can believe this was drad's first choice but this won't sell any tickets, and that's the bottom line.

You need new customers, not the sam old compalining Tech grads that keep on buying tickets.. You are competing for entertainment dollars and have doen nothing to improve your standing.

Tech is a closed community that is arrogant and you need to realize you need to sell yourself, not feel people own you.

You love to complain about 790 and the AJC. If you were good, if you improved your standing, you would get the coverage and listeners, but no you expect it.

Deriding anyone that disagrees with you is not going to fill your empty stadium.
