another lesson in the perils of hiring coordinators
" South Florida fired coach Jeff Scott on Sunday after the Bulls lost to Temple, 54-28, one day earlier. Special teams coach Daniel Da Prato will take over on an interim basis. Scott was 4-26 in three years at USF with seven straight losses and a 1-8 overall record in 2022. "

I think it’s a cautionary tale that you take with a grain of salt the product of coordinators that have program-changing QB’s.

They went 11-2 in 16, 10-2 in 17 and won the first seven games of 2018.
Since then ...
8 wins
40 losses.

Ouch.

They're looking at Scott Frost. Lol

Might not be a bad idea. He crashed at a big school but he could still be really good at taking a smaller program and exceeding at a lower level of competition. There was a reason he was such a hot commodity before.

From what I heard, Scott Frost put in absolutely no effort at Nebraska. He was constantly late to meetings after being hungover the night before. He was more interested in hanging out with old friends than leading the team. He basically skipped out of the building when they fired him.
