This is what happens when 100 angry anonymous internet nerds with no facts debate conjecture until they're blue in the face.

First you've got people saying DRad should have a guy lined up before he fires Chan.

Then you've got people saying DRad should go through the normal interview process.

Then you've got people supporting each of 5 different guys in equal measure.

Then you've got people saying that DRad shouldn't be allowed to make the interview process a 'farce' by ramrodding his guy through, instead of going through the normal vetting process.

Then you've got people saying that Clough is a pussy if he doesn't allow DRad to ramrod his guy through, bypassing the normal vetting process.

Then you've got people conjecturing that we'll lose DRad, or Clough, or our next football coach, because of how Fed up the process has been...

...WHEN NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THE PROCESS HAS BEEN!!!

It's a laugh.

Guys, you all sound like sixth grade Jethro. Find some grown up arguments. If you are truly a Jacket then you will give 100% to the new guy whomever he his.

Wow, this whole "Voice of Reason" thing sure sounds like the kind of logical thinking representation that we're actually supposed to be recognized for!

We definitely need to focus as THE board of this whole process. Now all we need is for someone to bump the Head Couch thread...that ought to do it.

What really amazes me is how some folks can form such a strong, unyielding resolve with so little information.

When feelings become a substitute for the absence of facts then all hope of a reasonable outcome to this process is lost.

Go ahead, email Rad and Clough 50 times before 10am. They can't freaking wait to get your email to find out what you think so they can hire the guy you think is best.

Or, take a seat in the section that is reserved for us fans. ON THE SIDELINES - not at midfield with a megaphone.

I would rather have the fans at midfield with a megaphone than on the sidelines. I cant stand the fans that sit down the whole game and only cheer when we score. Their also the ones that come to the game just to be seen by other people.
 
I think the biggest problem is the big Stingtalk circlejerk about how "informed" we are, when our greatest insight so far has been "CURVEBALL," or some full-of-it Buzzoffer talking about Hatcher's mom.

(Hey, I heard they interviewed Danny Hall. He's got a great Div1 record.)



It's the internet, guys. It's not "real." Quit treating it like it's life and death. It's at best a marginal form of entertainment, masquerading as a news source because it comes on a computer screen instead of audibly at the office water cooler.

If anything, the process hasn't been "F'ed up," our blatant handwaving freakoutery has, so emailing Clough (sheesh) about how F'ed up Stingtalk has gotten over the past 3 days is seriously lame.

Well somebody needs to get their ass out there because we are losing recruits. And, I just find it hard to believe that there hasn't been one peep out of the AA. Nothing on the progress front is bad news. On sportsline PJ has been offered 10mm+ for 6 years by SMU.

The reason everyone is freaking out, beej, doesn't really have anything to do with a possible head coach. Everyone's freaking out because we might lose our AD over this.

Well that's ESPECIALLY DUMB then, because Clough is his boss, and the vetting process is IN DAN'S JOB DESCRIPTION.

I don't know how many of you guys are in business, but I'm in a managerial position of an engineering firm, and if I had a designer quit because I redlined his plan, I'd say good riddance. This is no different. Dan's job is to find someone who he wants to hire, who he thinks will be good for the program, and who will pass the vetting process. That's his job.

I don't know, nor do I care, whether or not Clough laid the smack down on DRad's first choice, but if he did, then DRad should take it like a man. And if he doesn't, then he's not a good AD.

Personally, I think he is a good AD, so I expect that either his first choice will pass the vetting process or he will work with others, as per his job description to ensure a good choice does pass it.
