Pretty solid stats. I am surprised that his 2003 weren't a little better since that was the year they were National Champions.

Didn't matter. The defense was #1 in points per game allowed and also in total defense.

Ah. Well that makes sense now. Thanks for the info chilidogking!!!

Jimbo Fisher will be mre like Gailey than Fridge. He plays to win and lets the defense win. I loved Gailey's style and attitude. I just think his incredible stubborness at the QB position and in his refusal to tirn over the playcalling hurt him.

all in all, if we hire Fisher, things won't change all that much IMO. As long as we win, all will be happy but if we go 7-5 next year, folks will hate the offense. He will run the ball a lot and throw to the TEs and RBs so most will at least like that.

What I liked about their offense in the bowl win was that they had receivers running free in the defensive backfield. And before we say it's just ND, we sure didn't have people that wide open. I prefer an offense that runs the ball well and throws when it wants to. But if we're going to throw we need more imagination than we've shown the last few years in getting people open.

I agree totally. Good post nc.

Oh, you mean like we had in the Gator Bowl this year.
It doesn't do any good to have the receivers wide open if the QB can't hit them. TB hit them in the Gator Bowl.

Actually no we didn't have people running free in the Gator Bowl like LSU did against ND.

Huh? I don't understand this language you speak. What is a TE? And how does one throw to a RB?

I'm scared.
