I had a chance to rewatch some of the first two games, and one guy who stood out to me was JJ Green. Easily the most excited guy on our team. Loves to play in this offense. Ditched the dwags. Accused UCF of being afraid of the 3O. Ran over a JSU defender. First GT player since 1978 with a rushing, receiving, and KO return TD.

The celebration on this TD is typical:

Don't be down on him because of the one fumble.

He is also the player in the latest post practice update who said he loves playing at noon - his favorite time slot. If you haven't watched the video he said it is because the other team comes in, it is still early, and next thing you know they are getting cut down out on the field and just hate it. He said he loves that.

Lost the Tennessee game with that horrible fumble. Still has a lot to make up for.

Totally agree. I'm not down on JJ at all. I felt so bad for him because while that was a really pivotal play in the game he DID have a lot of other terrific things he did and few recall that because of that one play. I'm definitely a JJ fan.

We lost the Tennessee game because (in order of severity): the defense shit the bed in the final quarter, we missed 2 makable field goals, JJ's fumble, and a failed 2 point conversion in over time. So I totally disagree that we lost the Tennessee game because of his fumble.

Not so sure about that. It's not like JJ was chicken wingin' the ball or carrying it like a loaf of bread. He had it tucked with his hand over the nose. TN player just punched it out. There are many more individual plays I would point to with greater impact towards the loss. Regardless, win as a team, lose as a team. JJ is a quintessential team player, he can eat at my table any day any time.

The long TD pass from Tennessee that should have just been a short gain was one of the worst plays. 3 of our players there and they essentially took each other out of the play. If one had just taken an angle to get in front of the receiver after the catch, we would likely have won the game

It was pathetic
