Do you wonder if he was thinking .... "Man i could of helped those boys today"?

spilled milk .. i know

whoa, jojatec, you're back.

He's probably more worried about his next test.

yea im back -- and a bit pissed at some of the efforts out there.
1. Greg Smith looking more more scared to get hit if he ever gets his damn hands wrapped around the ball

2. MJ Please sir ..could you get your ass pissed off and make your presense known. The Arena league scouts are getting more interested in you STEP IT UP NOW!!!

Double teams my ass: C Long (uva), J. Peppers,(unC) and G Adams (clem) all got doubleteamed each down and they still reaked havoc and changed ball games consistantly. NO EXECUSEs get freakin involved or you will be looking at wall ball in topeka kansas next year.

hey kyle - how goes it? u pissed too?

go full speed all time you don't get hurt. Thats what my ball coach told me

it's going pretty well. is your son still puking after losses?

Yea well ..and o thanks for your kind thoughts. But we have seeked medical attention for his condition. My son is being softly medicated on saturdays to control his rage.. after the two late calls on us on D. He grabbed the pills and choked down the bottle to as to not throw his sister threw the new HD wide screen. Its day to day .. but thanks. I did see him earlier with a ladder around back of house ..claims he's dive bombing the neighbors cat from the roof if things go south at noon on Sat. I got to go back and get a refill i suppose tomm. going for the five gallon bucket or perhaps an IV

Whoaaaa buddy. I made a post saying MJ needed to step it up last saturday before the game and got criticized for it. Totally agree with you, as of now the Dline is overrated.

You have to keep in mind that we dont blitz and stunt like we used to. we're sacrificing a little pressure for better coverage... Additionally, Taylor and Perriloux were two pretty mobile QB's which made it hard to get pressure on him, and BC has probably the best OL in the ACC. Let's see what happens this weekend and the we can judge...

Kyle, I have to admit that every once in a while you do come up with very humorous posts.

i will gladly admit this, and have told Kyle so and done it on the board publically

then i recommended to him that he would be better off batting for average...

GT was supposed to have the Best DL in the ACC and a top 5 one nationally. A top 5 DL doesn't need much blitzing to get pressure and should control their gaps better. Watch USC.

THEY did beat up the BC OL in the second half. Against VT they did not play disciplined football and did not look good. They left gaps wide open for taylor to scramble and tried to rush the pass rather than contain and pressure in your gaps like you are supposed to against a scrambling QB that can't throw. I am sure this will be discussed.

We do stunt nearly as much, we don't blitz as much but blitzing has nothing to do with the DL other than make it appear like they are getting pressure.

By the same token our secondary has yet to face a QB that can pass a lick so I wouldn't exactly say they have improved yet either or the theory of blitzing less to help the secondary is working. Lets play a few real passing teams first to determine.

Right now though, yes our DL is not playing as well as preseason pundits thought IMO; and that is a fair assessment. If you go up against two decent or good OL's back to back, and out of 8 quarters only look good for 2 maybe 3 of them...that is not consistent enough play out of a unit that is to be the strength of the team and one of the best nationally....Just one man's opinoin.

like i said...

and as for the blitzing, if the OL has to consistently pick up the blitz, then they are less able to focus on double teams and may become overwhelmed and more easily beaten by the DL, especially when we blitz up the middle...

you're right though we were not containing well at all when tyring to get pressure on Taylor...

We don't play any this year.

We'll play Georgia. If I'm not mistaken, their pass protection is supposed to be the most mediocre part of their game, so that's where we'll have to beat them. Should be interesting.

And a good one at that.
