Just saw this at http://www.ncaa.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/052409aaa.html

All regional sites are as follows:
Atlantic Coast 4 (Clemson, Florida St., Georgia Tech, North Carolina)
Southeastern 3 (Florida, LSU, Mississippi)
Big 12 2 (Oklahoma, Texas)
Big West 2 (UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton)
Conference USA 2 (East Carolina, Rice)
Pacific-10 1 (Arizona State)
Big East 1 (Louisville)
Mountain West 1 (TCU)

The full field of 64 will be announced tomorrow.

Maybe the guys over at the D1 football office should take note of how to do it but they're probably too busy counting their money.

Sorry, wrong board.

Odds are that the Mutts are coming to our regional. Seems like Tech and UGAg have been paired in the same bracket every time they have both made the tourney in the last 10 years.

It will always be that way too. The NCAA has made a commitment to limiting travel in the tournament. We'll either see them in the regional or be paired with them in the Super Regional.

My guess is: Tech, South Carolina, Southern and State. Though, there is a chance it will be an all Georgia affair.

As for the super regional, the winner in ATL will likely be heading out west, either Tempe or one of the LA area super sites.

Southern and Georgia both should be two seeds.
I hear a lot of talk about Southern or Georgia going to Florida State and maybe the other going to Clemson. My guess that at least one doesn't stay in state.

But it wouldn't shock me to see 3 GA teams at the regional. Georgia State won the CAA automatic bid and should be the #4 seed and the Jackets' Friday matchup.

No UGA for us.

1. Tech
2. Elon
3. Southern Miss
4. GA State

Definitely a manageable bracket. Now we just have to go out and get the job done.

GT got a cakewalk bracket, especially if USM upsets Elon. GSU got screwed to hell and back being sent to the CSF regional.

State wins the CAA, the #13 conference in terms of RPI, and they get to stay near home. GSU wins the SoCon, #8 RPI, and gets sent to CSF. Ridiculous.

Maybe they never get to travel and think of it as their bowl game?
