Just flipped the TV stations and one of the local stations had one of their sportscasters at a DeKalb County football banquet. Jonathan was named LB of the year.

Interesting part was the sportscaster asked JD who's on his list of colleges.

Answer:"...South Carolina, Georgia Tech, UAB, Central Florida..."

Just saying what I just heard.

No link!? No source!? No video!? No photos taken from bushes!?

What manner of thread is this!?

So what is actually going on with this kid?

The other thread turned into a Marist/PX pissing match, and I lost track of what is going on.

Did we pull offer? Or is the AJC full of crap?

Quite honetly, there are tons of kids every year that say they are being recruited by Tech who are not. There are even many (more than 10) every year that report offers from GT and do not have them.

They use this to attract attention to get other offers.

Heck...we have even had two kids I can think of COMMIT to GT that never had offers!

Why didn't these get as much attention as the kid that did the same thing earlier this year?

I think he also may have gotten into some trouble for that stunt.

The kid was fooled by someone impersonating a Cal recruiter, his coach got in trouble for not making sure the recruiter was legitimate, also the kid should have at least taken an unofficial to Cal before making his mind up.

Actually, that was only his story about some guy impersonating a recruiter. Noone else ever met this guy. Supposedly Hart got paid by this "recruiter" as well -- but noone else ever met this guy.

Also, what about the "Oregon scholarship?" No, my opinion is that this kid started a lie that started steamrolling until it knocked him on his ass.

Back on point, folks on Stingtalk more knowledgeable than I said we yanked JD's offer for some reason that didn't have to do with grades or on the field ability, but we definitely yanked it, and there was definitely some reason.

I'm cool with that.

No he has admitted he made the whole thing up.
