I'm not sure enough has been made of JM beating out Jerry Howard for the start on Saturday. I understand it might not mean that much, but Jerry Howard had a ton of positive press this time last year. I'm excited to see what this kid can bring. The comments from his teammates in the paper are glowing.

If JM performs well, he has the opportunity to push Kirvonte. CPJ seems to think we might be able to play more a rotation at B-back. Seems like we did that a few years ago to great effect....but it could just be the bourbon talking.

TaQuan called Mason a bigger version of Benson. Tough to bring down. One of the players, may have been Searcy, said Mason had like 200 yards in the scrimmage. That said, we are deeper than ever at the position. I fully expect Howard to play a ton. Benson to play a ton. Mason to play a ton. Fresh backs beating down the LB's and secondary.

I believe Howard was dinged up for some practices and is why Mason got the nod, btw
 
Yeah Howard got hurt which is why Mason passed him. In that same thought CPJ commented how confident he feels with our BB depth chart.
