Saw this on ESPN.com. A Kentucky court ruled that Duke's football team was so bad that Louisville cannot collect damages in a lawsuit. Duke's attorneys claimed any Div1 school would be a sufficient replacement to Duke. Duke's record over the past 5 years: 6-45!!

But Duke's lawyers argued that the Blue Devils' performance on the field was so poor that any Division I team would suffice as a replacement. Duke is 6-45 over the past five years, 13-90 since 1999.

A seven year old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama this morning when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of the boy. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge awarded custody to his aunt.

The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and refused to live there.

When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone. The judge dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of him.

Custody was granted to the Duke University football team this morning as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.

Duke should have been forced to pay the full penalty. Louisville got hosed. Where else can you find a Div 1A opponent, in a BCS conference, that is a guaranteed win. Duke football offers much more as an opponent than an Div 1A or 1AA team for a trash game.
 
I wouldn't get so cocky. According to both Rivals and Scout, Duke's recruiting in 2005 and 2006 was better than GT's. They now have a real coach.

I am glad the game is in Atlanta.
