Yes and yes. I saw both of those games. A 7-6 loss in 1959 and another loss 9-7 in 1960. We did beat another TIGER [LSU] 6-2 in 1960 to provide a little balm however.

Nice image. I fondly remember that mascot from when I was kid in the early 60's. All the programs I recall had the same theme, the stinger-nosed TECH player tormenting the opponent. Did that version of Buzz have a name?

I could look it up, but what happened in '61? A little to young to remember. I was 1.

I love the mascot too. I saved all the programs that my folks brought home from that era. Wish I still had them.

Question: What was the last year of this needle nosed Jacket as our mascot?
