Just Watched Tape Of ABC\'s Pregame And How...
could anyone want to change the Tech/UGA series is beyond me. They showed pictures of 100 years of history. They showed Heisman and Dodd, Butts and Dooley, Herschel and Eddie Lee, and Lothridge and Sinkwich. Man, it sent chill bumps down me! This series is special in the state of GA and we need to keep it that way. Then I watched the game and being more relaxed then I was last SAT night, some things got my attention. Tech fans were rocking SAT night, I saw shots of female fans literally writhing their hands in agony or in pure delight over the action on the field. The intensity of our players was tremendous. We easily could have been up 17-7 midway through the 3rd quarter. The drive down to the 11 yd line before half could have easily resulted in a field goal without the loss of concentration. By the way, the play the ref called motion on us, they missed an obvious face mask on PJ. Then a potential big play that nobody has talked about is the easy INT we could have taken to the house midway through the 3rd. Even Griese said that play has to be made. Well bottom line is UGA made their big INT and we did not, they scored in the red zone and we did not, end of story. Anyway, we may have played AUB & AL forever but it will never match the Good Old Fashion Hate that is Tech vs Georgia. I'll watch and listen to every play of every game next year but I'll be waiting with great anticipation for that TRADITIONAL finale with Georgia. By the way, if you don't think they feel the same watch a replay of the game and look at the shots of their fans. Also, how do you think the mindset of their fans would be going into the SEC Championship game if we had hung a big L on them???? GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
