Justin Thomas Has Seen it All

Errin Joe's offsides va UNC and a drop by Waller than Smelter most likely would have caught in the ACCCG would probably had gotten us in. Of course, we were also a few plays from 8-4 too
I understand that but, it implies we would have been viewed as a Top 4 team in the country to make the playoffs.....I mean come on man. We would have been given the Boise State treatment even with those plays going our way.

I think a one loss Tech defeating an undefeated, defending national championship team (FSU) for an ACC conference title would have gotten us in the playoffs for sure.

Yeah, it's not as good or as bad as you think it is.

It was way too many bourbon hangover ago but I remember it being mathematically impossible. We were destined for the Orange despite the outcome.

It was an outstanding season at any rate. One for the ages. I remember that cloudy morning of the ACCCG on I-85N: it looked like a GT Nascar Race. People drinking in cars, making out, drafting, wrecking in Gastonia, etc.

Love how they don't even count ugag when mentioning notable wins

My comment was in response to several posts, beginning with we were a few plays from being in the playoffs. One play away from beating UNC and FSU. But we didn't so what could have been... UGA suckers think they're one play away from winning a national championship. Cause you know, they were guaranteed to beat Notre Dame if they had beaten Alabama in the SEC championship. Then a couple years later they fire that coach.

The other big issue that worked against us was the Oh St pasting of Wisc. If Wisc had won or made it competitive, that would've opened the door for us if we'd beaten the undefeated Natl champs.
