I wouldn't put too much blame on Gailey. KC has a lot of problems on both sides of the ball, especially their OL.
I am going to be honest, I think Gailey is a great hire for an NFL team. Realize that this Kansas City team is one of the worst football teams of the 21st century in terms of talent. Gailey is one of those 'don't lose' mentality NFL coaches. He is not taking risk and just trying to get 8-10 wins. His problem at Tech was that he thought a bowl game=the play-offs. In college you play to win, in the NFL you play not to lose. One loss and all national title hopes are gone in college. One loss in the pros means that you have a microphone in your face and a new game next week.
All told, I thought Gailey called a pretty good game given he's dealing with a 3rd string QB who was a wingback his senior year in HS and played college ball at Coastal Carolina.
But yeah. Raise your hand if you didn't see the power I run coming on 4th and goal at the 3.
Kansas City Chan's quiefs
The most Chanesque thing about KC today, was that the play calling looked like it had potential, if only the players were to execute it better, and the ball were to bounce their way a little more often. They just looked unlucky.
Sound familiar? Chan is the AntiDodd.
No reason to pile on a situation that is out of his control in KC.
