Mustang, what happened to Keith? I saw where we were dropped down to low interest on scout for him. At one point didnt we have a shot of getting him?

As Near As I Can Figure

He was happy with us when we were one of his few offers. Then he fell under the spell of the Florida schools.

I think he has convinced himself he is big time. This in itself may prevent him from reaching big time college production. Either way, I wish him well but I am not afraid to line up against him.

Disappointing...but obviously he wants a factory school and wants to be out of state.

We still are in it with William Green and Kaleb Ramsey...both of which had great unofficial visits over the past two weeks. It ain't over yet.

Also remember that Chase Thomas, although recruited as a LB today at 6-4, 210, is believed to be someone that will grow a lot more and could be a DE.

There is a lot of time between today and signing day in February 2008.

Yeah...if you recall, I posted that we were just about out of it for Mr. Wells about two months back. I really didn't expect to get him. I regained a little hope when he mentioned us in an interview about a week ago, but this is a kid that was definitely star struck.

For his sake, I hope that he makes the right choice. If you reread the above link, you will see that Keith is not a player that will be ready out of the box. Unfortunately for him, teams like Florida are getting those kinds of players every year. Nevertheless, I hope that it works out for him…wherever he winds up.

Exactly right...

In William Green's case, he is a similar type of end as Keith but a lot better at this point. In other words, Wells has a big upside, but William is a lot better now. We are very much in it with him :fingersx:

i honestly think wells was overated.. he is being rated simply on potential and no production...he played for his team's jv half the season last yr because he was not physical enough to play with the big boys.. ive been told florida is where he will land, and i dont see that being a good decision for anybody involved
