Kentucky beats UGAy WOOHHHHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

:laugher: :laugher: :laugher:

Three more picks for the all-world freshman QB Matt Stafford. Say hello to the Poulon Lawn Care Independence Bowl, Mutts.

First time since 1973 that UGA has lost to Kentucky and Vandy in the same year.

Soo... if Georgia loses next week, they don't go to a bowl? Do you have to have a .500 conference record?

Virginia and NC State last year went to bowls with 3-5 conf. records.

With the SEC bowl tie-ins, UGA will still go to a pretty decent bowl. With the Peach (excsue me, Chik-fil-A) picking 5th in the SEC, they could still go there.

If they go 6-6, they sure won't go to the Peach Bowl. I can't see them winning more than 7 now, because that means they would have to beat both Auburn and Tech.

Georgia would be quite lucky to finish fifth in the SEC.

Yeah, that's kind of my point about bowl tie-ins. If Georgia loses to both Auburn and Tech, then they will probably be the worst bowl eligible team in the SEC. But because of their fanbase, the Peach would still pick them over a better team.

If my wish comes true and the mutts drop their last two games, They'll probably finish 6th in the SEC at best. So long as they are not eliminated by rule or mathematics, it would be silly to think that someone like the Liberty, Music City or Independence Bowl would pass up on UGAg. I'm not going to bother with figuring it up, but it would take alot for the mutts to finish in the bottom four of the SEC, if it's even really possible by now.

Oh. I thought it would be the opposite because of the revenue a well-playing, travelling SEC team would bring to the city.

I had forgotten about the name change.
Of all the things there are to be annoyed about concerning college bowls, the name changes from what used to be "Citrus" and "Peach" to things like "Capitol One" and "Chick-Fil-A" gets under my skin a whoooole bunch.

True. Looking at the SEC, the other bad bowl-eligible teams look to be Kentucky and South Carolina. Kentucky will definitely be the last picked, but I agree that USC would probably go before UGA.

Agreed. The Wildcats are probably going to be scrambling to get a bowl higher than the Independence unless they beat Vandy AND Monroe.

I seem to remember that UGA fans were complaining about Vanderbilt and wanted to see them kicked out of the SEC because they were such an unworthy opponent. Wonder if they still feel that way now? ;)

Yes, actually. I'm sure the sentiment to have Vanderbilt removed has probably increased ten-fold since their loss. :)

Isn't it time for the AUC to do a cover story on Terichinsky or Stafford or Cox and blow smoke up the entire Dognation's arse?
