He will be a major recruiting tool and he is very close with many schools in the metro area. Took a similar job with FSU last year, GT couldn't extend him one because there were regulations prohibiting that (due to the timing of KW Jr.'s transfer/recruitment).

Seems like a nice win. Pieces are mostly there it’s up to the coaches to get ‘em ready to play

I can't say I know enough about this person, to get excited about. So, welcome to the flats.... Hope you can help gets things straightened up. Because...lord knows...we need lots of help.... It does beg the question... What good is recruiting, when you have coaches that cannot call decent plays, nor formulate systems that actually work??? Just asking from the back row.....

Can someone tell me why this is good for recruiting. I’ve heard a lot about this family, but don’t really know why Kenyatta Watson SR is significant

Someone else can explain it better, but he is basically THE guy as far as who high school football players in Georgia listen to. Was Coach/Director of Football Operations at Grayson, ran Under Armor camps and all-star games. FSU fans were thrilled to get him and uga fans are salty that we got him now. He is so well-connected that the NCAA was wary of a college team even hiring him for years. We'd all be juiced over the moon if this hire happened a couple of years ago, but everyone is a sad, big-cry now. Bottom line is he will get some elite players here if he is here any length of time. I am going to be enraged if we don't win enough games this year because we are finally putting the staffing piece together that we really need.

Hopefully he'll survive any regime change
