We have four stud RBs of which three are available but I totally agree 100%. Pound the ball, shorten the game, wear out their defense, and take a load of the QB's shoulders. We have a much improved O-Line and two stud RBs. Just run it all night. Don't let the frosh QB beat us.
Don't over complicate this.I thought the key to winning was to score more points than the other team?
Run the ball, but also focus on putting your young QB in positions where he can be successful. We're moving the ball fine, we just need to avoid situations that create turnovers.
Our receivers may not separate well, but they can definitely win 1v1 battles on jump balls. If we've got 1v1 on the outside, I'm fine with Sims just putting air under it and letting Malachi Carter or Jalen Camp go get it.That is partly on Sims. He has to hit that deep ball more often. FSU wasn’t expecting us to have a short passing game. They were expecting deep ball (Brown) or a run.
UCF and Cuse just put everyone up. They covered the short pass and running game. They let Sims have 1v1 on the outside. He has to be able to throw early without just hanging a ballon out there for the corners to grab.

yep, opponents have more "int-return' YDS THAN ANY IN usYes, but the ball needs to be outside so that if we don’t catch it, nobody does. And no floaters over the middle. Especially with a safety over the top.
Sims seems to be waiting for separation rather than putting it in the air. That isn’t unusual for a freshman or an NFL rookie. What is ‘open’ changes at each level.
Practice, improvement, and player development is more important this year than winning a handful of games.Run the ball, but also focus on putting your young QB in positions where he can be successful. We're moving the ball fine, we just need to avoid situations that create turnovers.
Sims, as well as several others, are waiting to be instructed. They want to get better---to be coached up.Yes, but the ball needs to be outside so that if we don’t catch it, nobody does. And no floaters over the middle. Especially with a safety over the top.

.
I have liked our short/intermediate passing game, when Sims is not turning it over. He will get better. I dont think forcing low % deep balls is going to pay off for us this season.
