Who is the kicker we had on the sidelines last night? Have we offered him yet?

Would we sign another K with King on scholly? Seems odd.

Unless this kid is a game changer, I doubt we would offer a K with two young kickers already on the roster.

King barely made the 42 yarder. Unless he seriously strengthens up and improves his range, he's not the solution.

The Wake guy was kicking it 70+ yards on kick-offs.

Maybe he's not the solution... but we're not one of those evil empires that runs kids off, remember? And we can't afford to waste a scholarship on a kicker that doesn't play. So unless CPJ knows that King wants to leave on his own already, I'm genuinely confused by this.

More to the point, we're giving up on King pretty early. Perhaps he's slowly improving, like Butker and many other kickers and players do.

If we were another program, yeah, but we run 2 or 3 schollys short every year anyway. Not something you want to do, but when it costs you 2 games in 6, we can do it.

Maybe we can get him put on a medical scholarship. I wonder if that leg injury is still there and will never let him get right.

We're having to go for it on 4th and 10 from the 30 yard line, instead of kicking a field goal. That is not good.

fwiw king is 4/4. I'm fine with letting him build confidence and hopefully pj will let him kick some longer ones. the 42 yarder was clutch and he seemed to hit it right where he wanted to. it looked good from the second his foot hit it.

Need to offer one kicker per year every year until we know we have two who can kick touchbacks. That's really all there is to it. It's too important a position to count on walk-ons at a small enrollment school like ours.

This no joke. We need to lock this recruit up now. I heard our competition for him is Kansas and Kansas State.

I was in row 2 right where he was. I thanked him for the fantasy points. He told me I was welcome.

Yea, he barely made the 42 harder. That still would've won us the ut game.
