Sounds like we'll be hearing more and more from this dick. To me, he reeks of a Jim Harrick type coach. When UGAg brought in Harrick, you just knew he would leave a dark cloud when he was done. I get the same vibe from this clown. UT will be very sorry for this hire.

Kiffin told the Knoxville News that the publicity generated from his comments on other SEC schools and secondary NCAA violations have benefited Tennessee on the recruiting trail.

“It has helped a lot … For our program to be in the news so much now … not just locally but nationally,” Kiffin told the Knoxville News.

I'm hoping for a Phil Ford / Jeff McGinness type story to happen to Lane Kiffin. Any press is good press, right? :laugher:

I agree. Having lived in Mid Tn, Nashville, for 13 FREAKIN years I can tell you that the Big Orange is NOT going to suffer this guy gladly. He'll be out in no more than two unless he whips serious ass, wins a conference championship, beats Bama. IOW he's as good as gone before he even gets started. I guess it's a paycheck for this gypsy? Seriously, he may not last the year.

gnats, I give him two and that's it. He doesn't have the hosses to play with the big boys and when vandy, KU and SC come in and whip his ass your right he might not make it one. Those orange people are crazy.

he has a pretty loaded staff up there with him in Monte K and Ed O... we'll see

With the way he's running his mouth, he better win now. I doubt the big orange fans will put up with a losing HC running his mouth.

I remember my UGA buddy saying when Donnan was fired, "It's OK to go 9-3 or even 8-4 at UGA, but it's another thing to do that and have no class." Seems like an apropos statement for Lane Kiffin.

BTW- How can this guy not have a nickname yet? Is there one that I don't know about? He is due.

Since you bring up Kiffin . . . If you were asked what Lane Kiffin, Ed Orgeron, Steve Sarkisian, and Nick Holt all have in common you might say they all were on Pete Carroll’s staff at USC. You’d be right.

If you said they are all currently at schools that have had to report at least 3 “secondary” violations each in recent weeks you’d also be right.

And, a common violation at UT and Washington was the use of a fog machine to simulate game day experiences for recruits. Coincidence? Hardly. Kiffin admitted he thought it was okay to do because USC got away with it, or uh, I mean Kiffin said he learned of the practice from “another school.”

I just thought it was all interesting.

Interesting. I always wondered what happened with Reggie Bush and taking money, houses and cars from agents. Whatever happened, the ESPN conspiracy made sure to sweep it under the rug quickly so as not to tarnish THE OMGWTF BEST TEAM OF ALL TIME.
