This one boggles the mind. I could see a chance as OC in the NFL to see if the Big XII stuff translates, but this is a major reach.

Better hire than the last guy imo. If he can click with Rosen they could be good on O with a forward-thinking scheme; still have a great back to work with too.

Current NFL coordinators must be horrible at interviews.

Dumb hire, even more dumb for TTU to fire him, but not much could be expected for a school that fired a coach based on whinings from the guy who killed 5 hookers while at SMU.

Who else decent would take the Cardinals job? Their GM has destroyed that roster since taking over. Fired Wilks after one year. Next hire will last two years tops.

This was my reaction too. The guy didn't have great success as a college HC and has zero NFL coaching experience. That's alot to overlook in hopes that he's going to be able to make Rosen successful.

Destroyed the roster? How so? I don't have a strong opinion on the guy, but there is lots of talent on the team which is why Wilks got fired for underperforming.

I said recruiting was difficult. Those guys probably won because they were great coaches not because they had the most talent.

TTU will let anyone in and is located in the one of the best states for recruiting in the country. There is plenty to do in Lubbock if you are a coddled athlete. What'd think they are looking for - Michelin star restaurants? LOL.

Nothing good has ever come out of Lubbock, Texas.

This post would be funnier if I explained that I was born in Lubbock, but that would spoil it, so I wont do that.

Yeah Texas is big and full of talent but it's also got lots of competition. UT, A&M, OU, OkSt. I lived in Dallas 14 years and West Texas isn't for me.

Well...Lubbock isn’t really in West Texas is it? Isn’t it more Panhandle?

Amarillo and surrounding area in Panhandle. Anything west of Abilene is West Texas - Lubbock, San Angelo, Odessa, Midland, El Paso, Clovis NM, etc.
