Kirby Goff is #10 on the Coaches Hotseat list

But on 680 this morning they said no one can make a call on how good a coach Kirby Smart is. He needs his players in his system and needs the same amount of time as Muschamp at Florida to make a determination.

I think if UGAG goes around 6-6 this season and around 6-6 or 7-5 in 2017 that Kirby Goff will be shit canned in December 2017

The Georgia fans are in a bit of a logical fallacy right now. They keep saying Saban went 7-6 his first year and then turned Alabama into its current powerhouse form. Problem is, Saban was a known element as a great head coach before that, and his success at Michigan State and LSU reflect that.

I'm not a big fan typically of coordinators moving straight into head coaching positions. I've seen too many great disciples turn into disasters. I think Saban's coaching tree is about 50/50 when moving out from underneath him, but I would project the ones that found more success moved into transition roles as HC at smaller schools/the Fisher situation at FSU before becoming head coaches in legit P5 conferences.

Or they end up like Derek Dooley who was a loser at Louisiana Tech before he became a loser at Tennessee

Muschamp may fall into that category as well with Texas and Florida. My assumption may be completely wrong - who knows. Maybe it really is just luck of the draw on coordinators. Still makes me more likely to pursue a HC at a smaller program with a proven track record.

Bipolar Will Muschamp was DC at Texas

Right - I am just validating that Dooley's situation at Louisiana Tech and Muschamp's title of head coach in waiting at Texas may blow up my theory that those coordinators under Saban who have been successful transitioned into smaller schools (ie Dooley, McElwain) or got the HCIW tag somewhere else (ie Fisher, Muschamp) prior to becoming a head coach at a P5 school. Seems to make it more luck of the draw.

Tennessee hired Derek Dumbass only because Lame Kiffin left for USC around signing day and it was too late to hire a good candidate.
