Kirby Smart enters the top 25

As most of us know, when Kirby Smart was hired at UGA, some of us predicted his ‘inevitable’ rise to greatness. Cynically, this was met epic numbers of dislikes and big cries. Well, it looks like the day we feared has come, ahead of schedule:

KIRBY CRACKS TOP 25

That’s right - after just one year, Kirby Smart has cracked the top 25 of the coaches hot seat rankings. While it’s impressive enough that he managed this feat during his first year at the reins, we really should reminisce on the season and think of what could’ve been: if it weren’t for a 2 point home victory over 177th-ranked Nicholls or late game heroics against powerhouses Kentucky and Missouri, Kirby probably could’ve cracked the top 20 (or even the top 10) in his first year.

I, for one, want to congratulate Coach Smart on completing his first year and wish him similar, continued success in the years to come.

I always get worried when UGA signs super classes until 2 years rolls by and I forget that Athens corrupts all young men. Hoping for more of the same here. Kirby is going to wind up riding his career on this class in about 3 years.

UGAg fan keeps telling me that Chubb has more yards something something over some time period and something....blah blah....it is basically a yarn he has put together to prove that Chubb is as good as Herschel. I said Chubb looks fat
