And the only reason I am posting it here is because he picked GT over VT. He is 5 for 5 this year with his upset picks. let's hope he is 6 for 6 after this weekend.

He said to watch out for Dwyer and I believe he said "John Nesbitt" who is doing a good job running the offense

We didn't last weekend. He picked us to beat BC on Gameday.

Related somewhat, I feel like a win against VT brings some serious national love our way. College Football News (a scout.com site), thinks we're already a top 25 team, and projects us to the Peach Bowl (I don't care how much I love Chick-Fil-a, it's the Peach Bowl). And most online places I read regularly are effusive in their praise of Paul Johnson. It's a nice change.
 
they mentioned us after ECU tonight on ESPN, so yeah, if we win we get to keep that spot.

after ECU because those dudes beat champions of ACC and Big East..
 
VT away would be a fantastic "trademark" win for PJs first season.

Although I gotta be honest, and maybe I'm just being a homer, but why is this an "upset"?

Contrary to pre-season, the vast majority of VT fans are predicting gloom and doom this weekend on techsideline.
 
Not to be a downer, but people were high on us last year after two games.

True, but we have a new coach, are getting better every week, and actually played a decent opponent as one of our first two games.

I wouldn't exactly say that people are "high" on us right now. We are not even ranked. Last year we were #15.
 
I wish he would save his upset picks for pre-game.

This is going to fire up VT big time.
 
GT got some pub on ESPN networks b/c they "reviewed" his upset specials and thereby showed some of the plays during our win over BC, while Herbie was doing a little chest thumping.

If we can win this one, I think he might be picking us all year, because we're making him look like a genious, like he might have even been smart enough to go to Georgia Tech
 
I wish we were playing against our last year's team this Sat. This team is far tougher, mentally and physically, not to mention more united.

Still, I think it will be mid season '09 before the O clicks.

I think last year's team would beat this year's team, as of today.

But I still think we have a better chance of beating VT this year than last year, and I expect this year's team to be better than last year's team by the time we play Georgia.

We scored 19 against BC last weekend. We scored 7 against them last year. The defenses are about the same, although I think Paul Johnson wouldn't have too much trouble countering the blitz every time Tenuta defense.
 
Well, I hope you're right. I still don't think our offense currently is on par with what we had last year, most particularly when it comes to turnovers, but I have full confidence it'll get there, and it'll get there by the time we get into the meat of our schedule.

What's funny is how the two division champions last year really don't count as "meat of our schedule" this year.
 
Upset my Upchuck,
Why should we be considered an underdog to VT?
They'll be lucky to stay on the same field as GT.
Matter of fact, anybody GT plays will be lucky to survive us.
With just a little fine tuning on the OL and our FG kicker, and a healing service for some LB's we should be just fine.
I'm saying GT by 14.

Prettiest cheerleaders in all Division 1-A football, our band plays the best songs in all college sports, what more could we want.
I do think we need to send Mark Richt some sedative meds as I'm hearing he's getting nervous already.
