Butker's clutch tying FG vs uga in 2014? It's the only one that comes to mind.

Our PK woes now span 3 different HCs and as-many ST coaches. Any hope on the horizon or did we collectively sell our soul for Butker's kick?

Out of all our deficiencies, this one makes the least sense. Shouldn't be that tough to get a competent PK on the Flats. Can't blame the coaches. I'm sure they all look decent in practice and our Ps have been mostly solid.

Sure....they grow on trees. 50+ field goals are a piece of cake....we should let all the other players try...I'm sure there are at least a dozen or so that can do it.

The last kicker I remember being good was Wesley Wells. He hit those two kicks at the end of the UVA game in 2018. Thought we had the next Butker on our hands, then the Clown sticks with Brenton King for god knows what and Wesley is never heard from again. Still baffles me as to why he stuck with King when Wesley was clearly the better kicker.

Yet the success rate is about 60%. To not have one in a decade is an anomaly, except that every PK over that period has sucked.
Well our kicker in 2015 and 2016 was really really good. And our kicker in 2018 hit 100%. So one might say your decade-long analysis sucks.

it would be more accurate to say our kickers post-Paul Johnson have struggled.

our *** post CPJ have struggled.

That kick was worth at least a decade of bad kicking.
i was at cesspool for that one. first trip and probably last trip there for COFH. there was a dwag family
of four taking celebration selfies and portraits right after the book club idiot scored a TD.

at the end of OT they were out of there so fast i missed it.

The second we tried that kick at halftime I said it was a freebie if we got it. At least it had the legs if I recall correctly. Was rolling deep by then.

Because he was so insecure in his own knowledge of football His guys HAD to be better.

Our OL blocking for ST has been consistently bad. We have a lot of kicks blocked at the line. So our kickers have to put more loft on the ball leading to shorter kicks.

That’s my take anyway. If we can consistently put the ball in the end zone on kickoffs, the kicker has the leg for a 50+. There have been a few years we didn’t have that. It is a team problem.
