Late Kick "Georgia Tech Building Towards ACC Contender Status"

Getting press like that is going to be a huge help in recruiting. The recruits seeing the media say that Tech is the place to be gets recruits that might not normally look at us to take notice.
This game was everything we needed when we needed it, big name opponent, less games so more attention, freshman qb with star potential, good press talking about what we are building.
Lets hope we look just as good the next few weeks and the juice train will be airborne.

And good that UGAg fans are preoccupied with us. When they ask for their make up home game with us for 2021 we will tell them to öööö off. Either come to Atlanta or wallow around in the cesspool of Athens the weekend after Thanksgiving.
In fact, tell them we are playing the game the last weekend of August at BDS

The most important thing he says is that we were totally irrelevant in our own city. Not any more.

I tell you what, these kids love the branding. They do a similar "305" branding down in the Miami area and suddenly Manny Diaz is killing SE Florida.

I'm the last person to speak on this, but my impression is that using the "404/ATL" branding is probably extra powerful for us because it piggybacks on the use of those references in rap/hip-hop culture. (Maybe there's a similar thing for Miami, but it's nothing that I'm familiar with.)

In addition: Atlanta is the "center" of college football. Heck, UGA actively promotes being "near" Atlanta. Bama sells to recruits that they will get to play in Atlanta multiple times during their career.

If we can steal their thunder a little or piggy back off of it, then it is great. Eventually, we want it to seem silly to recruits that UGA claims to be "near Atlanta".

Also, I think the secondary purpose is to try and make GT Atlanta's team. We aren't going to sell out the stadium with the current GT fanbase and/or alum. We need to get people from Atlanta without a college team to be GT fans and come to the games.

Hopefully guys like Sims and Gibbs will help with that.

As it once was, and here’s hoping to that resurgence. My parents generation in Atlanta, tech was home team.

There's no secondary about it. Those are all primary reasons.
