Les Miles

This is ridiculous. Trends go out of style SO fast now due to social media, etc. Now, if you don't do a trendy video/dance/blah blah within a week of it's popularity peak, you just look stupid

Give 'em a break. It took them time to find someone in Louisiana who knew how to edit a video.

It was stupid first day.

We are talking about Les Miles anyway, he would look stupid regardless.

ITT a bunch of middle aged men call the things 18-21 year olds like stupid.

I thought they were stupid when I was 18 and they just look worse now. Now go do the macarena, which was just as dumb as gangham and this thing. What's worse than an 18 year old doing this is a 60 year old Les Miles trying to look hip.

<obligatory> if our coach got involved in things like this, maybe we'd get better recruits </obligatory>

seriously - did anyone notice the Texas flag in the back? They play high school football there, right? They're 18 year old jocks - it's about uniforms, women, and having a good time.

It's a 7 letter two syllable word that's been spammed around the globe for almost a year, is currently the most popular video on youtube at ~1.5 billion views, and we still can't spell it to save our lives. It bottles the mind.

To be fair I thought the butchering of "gangham" was intentional and hilarious. Perhaps I'm providing too much benefit of the doubt.

Meh, the "I'm old and uncool, watch me misspell/misuse popular new terms" joke is old and uncool.

Do you mean boggles? Because for a long time, I'm not sure how many Youtube views, the term mind boggling has been around, but somehow a dipshit who would actually go watch a stupid Youtube video of a Korean guy dancing feels vastly superior while botching a common phrase.

Well, I don't have anything to say, you've done the best you could. You really have, the best you could. You can't expect to win em all. But, I want to tell you something I've kept to myself through these years. I was in the war myself, medical corps. I was on late duty one night when they brought in a badly wounded pilot from one of the raids. He could barely talk. He looked at me and said, "The odds were against us up there, but we went in anyway, I'm glad the Captain made the right decision." The pilot's name was George Zip.

The last thing he said to me, "Doc," he said, "some time when the crew is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to get out there and give it all they got and win just one for the Zipper. I don't know where I'll be then, Doc," he said, "but I won't smell too good, that's for sure."

öööö, I fat fingered it. Still doesn't explain bottling the mind.

Chazz: Mind-bottling, isn't it?
Jimmy: Did you just say mind-bottling?
Chazz: Yeah, mind-bottling. You know, when things are so crazy it gets your thoughts all trapped, like in a bottle?
