Let me make this clear

In no way shape or form do I want Tech to fail. When I saw what Collins was doing his first few weeks here building a brand, I was excited. He seemed to have built himself a decent career at Temple. However, I just don’t see what Collins is trying to do here anymore. We’re worrying too much about lights that don’t work, money down, uniforms, etc. He is a hell of a recruiter, but I wouldn’t say a great football coach. I can’t tell what he’s trying to do on offense at all.

We are one of the worst in the NCAA in penalties, which reflects coaching, we run shotgun from our own two and the opponents two for who knows what reason. I don’t want to blame officials, but last night was horrendous; however, we can’t solely blame others for our own demise. We blame Narduzzi for last night, I don’t know why, but we do. We should never give up 350 rushing yards, unless we play a 3O team.

Now let me list the good. He is a great recruiter and stealing some great prospects from other teams. He has gotten some much needed transfers. He has built a culture that has made Tech games more fun and enjoyable than the monotonous games under Johnson, where the energy is the same for Clemson as it is for Alcorn State.

In conclusion, I believe that Collins needs help on the coaching a lot. Whether that’s new coordinators or taking some time away from Waffle House and studying loads of film. I’m not at practice so I can’t speak on his behalf about that, but it seems the same as Pastners no contact practices translated into game situations.

What are your thoughts on the depth chart going into the game?
I definitely thought we were short handed, but that means we need to make adjustments in coaching. We can’t run 6 DBs on the final drive when we know Pitt is going to run it. We barely sent more than 4 the whole game, and our tackling was abysmal.

No, you're not. So shut the öööö up with your idiotic "guarantees" about things you don't know öööö about. If you've got an opinion, either stop presenting it as some quasi-expertise or shove it right back up your ass. You're not a satirist and you don't know öööö any better than the rest of the morons here. You're not the new pet troll because you're not smart or funny enough. And nobody wants extra clarity gazing into a septic tank. Fall in line and admit you don't know öööö about öööö or öööö off.

Unless you're somehow talking about the player perspective, I couldn't disagree more about this point. Our games under Collins have been a lot more in the miserable "come in and take your beating" category than "fun and enjoyable." Maybe the players are having more fun, but it doesn't seem like the fans are. Last night was the first game this year where people really got vocal and fired up, and that was because the refs kept screwing us.

There were some miserable, no chance to win games under Johnson (especially toward the end), but that wasn't the norm. Collins has had way too many games that redefined "is this is bad as it can get?" in his tenure. Maybe it'll turn into some Hamilton-and-Friedgen-level fun in a few years, but we aren't there yet, for Clemson or Alcorn State The Citadel.

True, and game wise, yes the games have been miserable under Collins, and I do remember some miserable game under Johnson. However, I do think some things going on around the game make the game more fun. Like the music and the lights are a nice touch (however, rarely done correctly). He’s trying to make GT Atlanta’s team and everyone wanting to go to a Tech game instead of making this all Ugags land

You have now started your own thread to get attention. You're like the floating turd that just won't flush no matter how many times you try. You're stinky, unpleasant, and probably full of corn.

And, btw, nobody on the board thinks anything you say has one bit of higher expertise.

we run shotgun from our own two and the opponents two for who knows what reason.
This one sentence shows your lack of knowledge for 2 reasons. The first reason is because have run our share of plays under center in short yardage situations. There is absolutely no team out there that ALWAYS goes under center at goal lines, other than the 3O teams that NEVER go shotgun. The second reason is because it's already been proven on numerous occasions that running the ball from the shotgun is no more detrimental than running it from under center. But don't let data or facts stand in your way, again.

And now that I think about it, I'll have to go back and check, but I believe when we scored from the goal line, we went under center for 2 plays and failed, then went from the gun on 3rd down and scored.

Look Carson - if you just want to be pissed off all the time, fine. But you have several knowledgeable posters providing rational explanations why our performance is not what we all hoped for. Listen to them and stop spleen dumping.

This one sentence [why are we running shotgun from the two-yard line?] shows your lack of knowledge for 2 reasons.
Correct. Carson is hereby instructed to watch last week's NFL game between Washington and Pittsburgh. Then let me know if you think you know more than either Ron ööööing Rivera or Mike ööööing Tomlin. Hint: You don't.

I'm going to assume this dude is in his early, early 20's. I don't know or care what his supposed resume is. But dude, people are calling you a moron because you're acting like one. Teams have to rebuild sometimes and they have to suck sometimes. If you're disappointed that we don't suck the way you expected us to during a complete program overhaul then there's no conversation to be had with you, you're just complaining. If we turn out to suck next year, you don't win anything because you had greater doubts before other people did. Give your goddamn opinions and stop trying to be right in advance like this
I think the CGC experiment is dead next year if we don’t go bowling.
ööööing dumbass. You seem like either you're committed to the most boring troll job in the history of the board, or you're actually trying to join the conversation and can't figure out what it is about your posts that keeps causing people to tell you to shut the öööö up. There are people here who have loved and watched Tech football longer than you've been alive, never set foot on a field, and whenever you die, you won't understand the game half as well as they do. And those people are morons too. I give my opinion under the banner I fly most often, which is that being a fan is live action öööö posting, and the people who pretend they're analyzing or discussing when they're just bitching like this
More fun and enjoyable? Outside of the FSU game, most games have been turds with the exception of the brilliance flashed by Gibbs.
ööööing moron, are the worst kinds of idiots you'll find without following the sound of barking. And he'll just be happy that someone is paying attention to him, because he's incapable of doing anything but whining about his aching labia and doesn't actually give a öööö about the program.

If I had anything else to say, I forgot, so just assume it would have gotten through to you and we never have to have one of these threads again.

I like that he thinks about marketing, and I enjoy seeing us get positive attention from local and national media. It sucks that Covid derailed all that stuff (big financial hit, people can't come to the stadium even if they wanted to). But ultimately the only thing that's actually fun is winning. Light shows and deafening, tuneless hip-hop music and "money down" are fun when you're winning and annoying when you're not. In 2009, the product on the field made me want to dance to a piece of öööö like "All the Way Turned Up"; in 2020, the prevailing sentiment is "can we just turn all that stuff off and get this over with?"

Taking your word that we were playing for the pass rather than the run, that final drive was very curious. As was the run defense for the entire game, beginning with the very first play.

Given that we have been pretty good against the run this season, my first thought is to question how healthy our defense is, rather than to blame the coaches. Since you are an experienced football player, I feel like you haven't gone through your football playing experience blaming the coaches for your on field performance, right?

I'm not here to defend the coaching staff by any means. And I'm not blaming the refs either. I just think that was a cluster of a game in a cluster of a season.

We were within a TD of them with a chance to stop them with plenty of time remaining. And we didn't do it.

Yeah, that's the thing that was frustrating (and surprising) to me - we were within 6 with a good bit of time on the clock. I texted a friend "this could get interesting, but won't." We needed one more stop and couldn't get it, despite Pitt running it up the gut like 6 plays in a row. If a couple of breaks go our way, it's a different ballgame. (Of course, if Pickett had better touch on deep balls, we would have gotten blown out, so...)
